Communications for Tomorrow In today's world of increasingly smaller
computers, wearable computing is becoming a more practical solution for
many problems. An extremely useful technology available to
wearable computers is Wireless Personal Area Networks, or WPANs.
These wireless networks are small (10m), and extremely versatile,
connecting any accessory imaginable, as well as implementing robust
routing techniques. ZigBee, or IEEE 802.15.4 is a widely used
standard for WPANs. Team C2J is exploring the
specifications and implementations of ZigBee. |
