CALLIE DAVIS (p.30, 44, 47) Long time friend of Mrs. Watts who kept in touch with Mrs. Watts periodically. Mrs. Watts goes to see her in Bountiful but finds out that she died just a couple of days before she had arrived. Nancy Lee Goodhue (p.51) She is an acquaintance that Mrs. Watts knows from Bountiful. Mrs. Watts asks the Harrison ticket man if he has ever heard of her. Fay Girls (p.51) They are old acquaintances that Mrs. Watts knows from Bountiful that the ticket man in Harrison has never heard of. Mr. George White Ewing (p.51) Mrs. Watts use to trade with Mr. Ewing when she lived in Bountiful. The Harrison ticket man had heard of him but said that he has been dead for twelve years. Priscilla Nytelle (p.51) She was another old acquaintance that Mrs. Watts remembered but the ticket man had never heard of her either. Grandma and Grandpa (p.62) This is Ludie grandparents and Mrs. Watts’s parents. Grandpa was a respected man in Bountiful and when he died grandma made Ludie promise to name his boy after him. LEE WEEMS & JOE WEEMS (p.62) Lee Weems was around Ludie’s age and he told Ludie that his grandpa had died. Joe Weems is Lee’s father who tells Ludie that his grandpa’s life is a real example to follow. |
