  • Wednesday 10/05 : Team Meeting

           Chosen a topic, and a group name (Team: YMaxx, Technology: WiMax)

  • Wednesday 10/12 : Completed Web Status Report   

The website was built with all the required information, team name, member names, technology, and preliminary research sources. We emailed Dr. Callahan a link to the site.       

  • Wednesday 10/26 : Team Meeting
  • Divided research areas and assigned each team member an area:

                Sam: Comparison to current technologies, Website, 802.16 standard and protocol
                Chintan: WiMax Deployment
                Jermaine: WiMax Modulation, what is and why OFDM?
                Jaekia: QoS, security, range, scalability
                Daphne: Hype cycle, Market potential

  • All individual report summaries must be emailed to Sam 10/26/05

  • Each team member submitted  an individual  research summary for their topic

  • The website was build, and ftped to www.dpo.uab.edu/~ece

  • Wednesday 10/26 : Website Background Reading List

Website was updated with links to relevant websites, and references. We sent an email to Dr. Callahan regarding this update.

  • Monday 11/07 : Team Meeting

            1) Discussed presentation

                a. Structure
                b. Number of primary and secondary slides
                c. Presentation time management

Primary Slides: Will be presented in class ( 5-6 slides @ 1 minute/slide )   

Secondary: Will be ready incase class had questions that required more details (5 slides), presenter will be able to jump to a "details" slide using a hyperlink that will be placed on each slide, and then jump back to original slide using a "back" hyperlink
               

            3) All presentation slides must be emailed to Sam by 11/09/05

            2) Decided to meet Saturday 11/12/05 to practice presentation

  • Saturday 11/12 : Team Meeting

            1) Reviewed and edited slides

            2) Final version of slides must be emailed to Sam by 11/13/05 to be merged and added to website

            3) Final individual research reports must be emailed to Sam by 11/13 to be merged and added to website

  • Monday 11/13 : Website and Presentaion Complete

  • PowerPoint Presentation 

2) Each team member had emailed Sam their individual slides for combining and posting on website
