Lake Party & Election The annual lake party will take place on Saturday August 23, 2008 at the Angus residence in north Shelby County. There will be swimming and boating followed by a short business meeting and cook-out/potluck supper. The election for new officers will be held. Annual Fall Reception - will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, Sept 18th in Room 430 of the Ryals Building (School of Public Health) at UAB. This event provides an opportunity for persons interested in The Peace Corps to talk to a recruiter and returned volunteers. The Ryals Building is located at 1665 University Blvd. There is a parking lot behind the building and a parking deck adjacent to the building that opens at 5pm.

GBRPCV/North Shelby County Library Map Project GBRPCVs collaborated with NPCA on their Global Libraries Outreach Campaign During March, 2007. The purpose of the Global Libraries Outreach Campaign is to expand and support global education activities reaching the general public through libraries nationwide. In addition to our annual map painting, volunteers led book club discussion, children's pj story time and international crafts projects. |
